There are few things you should check to make sure the WeMo Light Switch will work for you:
1. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal at the light switch.
2. WeMo Light Switch works with any one-way connection lights. If more than one switch controls the lights, that's a three-way connection, and WeMo Light Switch isn't compatible.
3. WeMo Light Switch requires a neutral wire. Watch Belkin's installation video for detailed steps on how to check your switch.
4. Its not recommended to use WeMo Light Switch with a metal faceplate, which interferes with Wi-Fi.

Compatibility Information

The Belkin WeMo Light Switch is compatible with any one-way wall light switch. The WeMo App works with Android smart devices running Android 4.0 or higher (Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean) and iOS v5 or higher on devices such as the iPod touch (3rd generation and later), iPhone (3GS and later), and iPad (all models).
